Thompson Homes Inc. has been building and creating for over 45 years throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Paige and Joe are the 2nd generation following in Paige’s parents footsteps. Now they are guiding and training their son, Hunter to deliver the same high quality services to homeowners, creating a third generation of building legacy.

Our Process
Property Procurement
We encourage our clients, before they purchase a piece of property, to contact us. We are more than willing to meet with you at the property. Many times we have our excavator join us to make sure you are investing in a property that will meet your needs and vision. At this meeting, we can assess potential costs you may or may not know about, along with creating a site plan. This is a crucial first step to make sure you are investing in a piece of property that will allow you to create your vision.
Design Process
After the property procurement, Paige spends time with you understanding your needs, wants and dreams for your new custom home or renovation. She has over 35 years of design experience. Her goal is to bring your vision and dreams to reality.
Estimating Project Cost
We understand knowing the cost of your new home or renovation is important to you. That is why we, at Thompson Homes Inc, custom quote every home and/or renovation per that project. Which means we take the time with you and our team to talk, up front, about what you want in your new home/renovation. We feel if a new home or renovation is quoted honestly and realistically up front, you should have minimal surprise costs at the end.
Construction Documentation
At this stage, we create the construction documents that will detail your new home or renovation project. These contracts are the base of the building process.
Construction of Your Project
During this phase, we create a time table to help you stay informed of the process. As we are a smaller builder, we are hands on with all of our clients during this process. We work to keep you informed of each step and of any changes that may arise.
Post Construction – After Move In
- We have your new home professionally cleaned. Renovations can also be professionally cleaned if you choose.
- We create a warranty book, for your reference, that documents all that went into your home.
- We are only one phone call or email away if you have any questions.

It was a real pleasure to chat with you the other day regarding my neighbor's home project. You should know that we have been in our Thompson home now for nearly thirty years and still are in love with it and its design and construction. We still receive compliments on our home to this day when we have visitors, family and neighbors visiting. At the time( 30 y/o) our desire for an open design in the kitchen with functionality was a considered a bit unusual. Your insight and design skills helped us achieve our goal and we still have yet to see a similar design in other homes we see. We love it. At times we have had as many as 12 people sit around our "peninsula design" kitchen table and the family atmosphere created is priceless.
The custom woodworking and millwork, a Thompson feature, was well worth the investment. We have not seen anything like it in similar homes as ours. As you know, stained glass has been a huge part of out lives for many years. The design features in our home have allowed us to incorporate stained glass transoms, wall skonzes, and lighting throughout the home. A tour of our home by visitors is often a delight and it surprises them when we show the creativity we have been able to build into this home.
We are on our second roof now, no surprise, and the roofing company was very complimentary on our home construction when they installed the roof.
Our added sun room, which was added several years after we moved in, is still one of the most popular rooms in the home, all year around. And it lights up with glass colors as the sun brightens our days.

Thirty years after we built, we still love our home, its features and quality of construction and craftsmanship. Not many can say that, proudly, but we certainly can.
